Workshop 

An operation of DGL's size has a lot of vehicles and machinery, which means a constant cycle of servicing and maintenance.

 

The Workshop division has a large modern workshop facility, equipped with four workshop bays, vehicle hoist, press, lathe, mill and line boaring 

 

Five Diesel Technicians are responsible for the servicing and maintenance of all logging equipment and heavy haulage transporters either in the field or in the workshop. Some of the equipment includes Volvo, Hitachi, John Deere, Komatsu, Madill, Falcon Claw, CAT, Woodsman and Log Haulers.

 

One Vehicle Mechanic and one Apprentice who maintain and service our extensive and modern vehicle fleet of over 100.

 

Three Engineers who fabricates, repairs and maintains plant & machinery, specialising in different areas either in the workshop or in the field

One Hydraulic Hose Technician Doctor who is equipped with full hose facilities and caries out diagnostic, manufactures, repairs and installs hydraulic hoses on heavy machinery, working either in the field, Pan Pac Mill (3PY) or in the workshop.

The Parts and Workshop Coordinator ensures stock is maintained, places orders for the workshop and harvesting crews to be able to maintain the DGL fleet
